What kind of org do you work for?

What do you do?

I'm the founder of Printcasting (http://printcasting.com), a Knight News Challenge project that will democratize print magazine publishing by leveraging blogs and news feeds.

What strengths/expertise do you have to offer?

I have 10 years of experience in community products, user-generated content and grass-roots, "hyperlocal" news. I've done everything from product management and writing to marketing and sales. This year I'm learning more about entrepreneurship on the job -- which is alternately terrifying and fun, depending on the day :-)

What kind of help/insight do you hope to get from this community?

I hope to meet other people with a news background who are finding new ways to support journalism. I also think my current project, Printcasting, could offer some interesting opportunities to journalistic entrepreneurs in the future.
