What kind of help/insight do you hope to get from this community?

oh wow not sure. I am Web Managing Editor at the Reynolds Center for Business Journalism which is privately funded group based at Arizona State University. We offer free training for business journalists. I will be redoing the Web site into a news/training/community site. I'd love all the input I can get.

I think we should use the RJI Collaboratory incubator to develop:

Building blocks for geographic- or topic-based local Web news sites, "How-To" handbook, Backgrounder on web advertising, Systems to match ads to relevant news content, Standardized platform for mobile apps, Twitter as tool for news sites to channel local business
