What kind of help/insight do you hope to get from this community?
a more clear idea of what the future holds for all of us...
I think we should use the RJI Collaboratory incubator to develop:
Building blocks for geographic- or topic-based local Web news sites, "How-To" handbook, Backgrounder on web advertising, Systems to match ads to relevant news content, News apps and widgets, Ways to send mobile alerts via content management systems, Standardized platform for mobile apps, Twitter as tool for news sites to channel local business, Clearinghouse of experts to help launch new services

Welcome to the Collaboratory Tracey! Got to agree with Nan that your background makes you a great addition to our community. As she suggests, poke around a bit to see what fits your interests. And if you don't see the conversation you want to have or the project you think matters, feel free to start it!
We've got a "How We're Using This Site" page that provides more detail on the different areas of the site and the ways to make best use of them to not only share ideas, but to get projects up and running: http://rjicollab.ning.com/page/how-were-using-this-site.
And you can keep track of latest activities on the network by visiting the What's New page: http://rjicollab.ning.com/page/whats-new.
Thanks for joining us! Adam Glenn on behalf of the RJI Collaboratory
Welcome, Tracey. That's an impressive skill set you have - hope you join several groups (hint - mobile) and help lead us to creative solutions.
Glad you found us and are on board.
