Insurance poll

I think self-employed people often must pay higher rates for medical and other insurance -- not just because of lack of an employer subsidy but also because of lack of a volume discount.

This topic was a big concern at the Google group for Journalism That Matters.

I'm slowly looking into ways the situation might be improved.

If you're interested in the potential for insurance through JTM or a related group, please indicate your state in the poll at the main JTM Web site.

The poll is on the right-hand side, toward the top.

I set up the poll because possibly it would be easier to work out an insurance program in one or more states than nationally. If any states get much more interest than others, I'd work toward serving them before others.
