OMG I'M A MAC NOOB. Empty your Mac's Trash to Empty your Flip Camera and recover record time.

So, my sincerest apologies to Samantha Running who has been shooting and uploading vid from the Flip Mino HD every 5 minutes of shooting for the last two or three times out.

I could not figure out why the remaining shoot time was so low even though the cam recognized no files. \

Two things happened tonight: I watched the flip as it cycled thru a virus scan and noticed files that should have been long gone were still showing up. Also, I re-read the help site on http://www.theflip.com/support_home.shtml.

I read and re-read the help statement, and the words finally sank in: "empty your trash can!"

Duh, not the trashcan on the device...my MAC TRASHCAN. How many times have I had an external drive with 10 phantom gigs of vid or music because I forgot they were in the "trash can?"

(answer: I don't have to answer that question because "I'm the boss.")

With the device connected, I emptied the computer's trash and got a refreshed 60 minutes.

-Now I will write 15 pages, sleep, create a video masterpiece, sleep, and then we have our big day!
